The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) reported that a husband and wife died in a murder-suicide on Sunday afternoon.
Lonnie Nelson Jr., 52, and his wife, Vickie Lane Nelson, 53, were found dead of gunshot wounds at a residence in Tunica, Mississippi, at approximately 4:40 p.m. on December 8, according to the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office.
A relative requested medical assistance, prompting the dispatch of deputies to the house.
The TCSO discovered two weapons at the home and sent them both for examination. The sheriff’s office stated that it appeared to be a murder-suicide.
