Fugitive Accused Of Left Newborn In The Snow After Brutally Assaulting Infant’s Mom Arrested In Florida

A manhunt for a fugitive who brutally assaulted a woman in Virginia and abandoned his 13-day-old baby in the snow has come to an end in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.

The backstory: Darvin Flores Caballeros, 20, has been charged with abusing and strangling his baby’s mother on February 12 in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Authorities report that during the domestic assault, Caballeros’ newborn baby was accidentally dropped.

A Florida man who is accused of brutally beating a nurse in a hospital and causing her to lose her eyesight is now facing a hate crime enhancement charge.

A newborn baby was discovered by a kind-hearted stranger, abandoned in a pile of snow, according to the authorities.

After the attack, the victim was rushed to the hospital due to the severity of their injuries.

Officers arrived after Caballeros had already taken off.

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office in the Florida panhandle was informed on Thursday, February 20th, that Caballeros was present in Santa Rosa Beach.

Caballeros was arrested by WCSO deputies at approximately 11 a.m. on February 20th, during a felony traffic stop.

According to deputies, Caballeros was riding in the vehicle.

What comes next: Caballeros is facing several charges, including malicious wounding, strangulation, two counts of child endangerment, assault and battery on a family member, petit larceny, and an emergency protective order.

He has been taken into custody and will be transferred to the Walton County Jail before being extradited to Virginia.
