Former Missouri City officer back taken back into custody for breaking bond conditions and testing positive for substances

A former Missouri City police officer, who was indicted for a deadly crash resulting in the tragic loss of a mother and her 16-year-old son in June, has been taken back into custody. It is reported that he violated the terms of his bond.

According to court records, Blademir Viveros, 27, was found to have tested positive for several substances, including alcohol, THC, and amphetamines, which were in violation of his bond conditions. Moreover, he was unable to provide a valid prescription for any of the substances he had tested positive for.

According to court records, Viveros, who is currently awaiting trial, was required to maintain employment as part of his bond agreement. However, he was unable to provide evidence of his current job. It is believed that Viveros was recently terminated from his position at Wal-Mart and has since been working as a driver for DoorDash.

In November, a Fort Bend County judge reduced his bond from $800,000 to $500,000, and he was able to secure his release soon after.

The judge has canceled Viveros’ previous bond agreement and has set a new bond amount of $650,000.

Viveros faced charges of manslaughter after being indicted on October 28th. The charges stemmed from a tragic crash that resulted in the deaths of Angela Stewart and her son, Mason Stewart.

According to reports, Viveros was driving over the speed limit on Cartwright Road in Missouri City while responding to a reported robbery.

Viveros’ SUV collided with a 2005 Toyota Corolla passenger car that failed to yield the right-of-way out of a Dollar Tree parking lot on Cartwright near FM 2234.

According to the investigation, it was found that Viveros had failed to turn on the emergency lights of his vehicle during the crash.

Viveros received treatment at Memorial Hermann Houston in the Medical Center and was subsequently discharged.

Angela and Mason Stewart lost their lives in the tragic accident.
