Florida woman kidnaps a police officer while escaping a traffic stop

Victoria Musaev, 33, of Fort Lauderdale, is behind bars after escaping a traffic stop with a police officer and her daughter in the back of her SUV.

The police pulled her over near Livingston Street and Hughet Avenue for failing to give way to another car.

Failure to yield in Florida carries a $500 fine and three to four points on your driver’s license. It may result in traffic school or a suspension of one’s license.

However, Musaev’s situation worsened significantly. According to Click Orlando, when police officers inquired about her license, she was unable to produce it. She said that it was suspended and had been removed.

An officer called dispatch to confirm Musaev’s identity and discovered she was wanted for DUI.

She exited her Ford Escape and proceeded to a police car for arrest. However, she subsequently started fighting with the police officers and managed to escape back to her SUV.

Musaev put it in drive and accelerated, despite the fact that a police officer was in the backseat with her daughter. She drove away, ignoring requests to halt and evacuate the SUV.

Police officers pursued her down Livingston Street and Hampton Avenue. She eventually halted near the intersection of Robertson Street and Hampton Avenue.

Further charges, including resisting arrest, led to her detention and transfer to the Orange County Jail. Musaev made matters worse.
