Driver with Gunshot Wound Discovered in Crashed Car in Fort Worth

A person was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries Thursday morning after being found with gunshot wounds inside a crashed vehicle in Fort Worth.

The Fort Worth Police Department responded to the scene of the crash in the 2800 block of Miller Avenue at 12:16 a.m. Officers discovered the victim, who had sustained a gunshot wound to the head, inside the wrecked vehicle. The individual was immediately transported to a nearby hospital.

At this stage, authorities have not determined the origin of the gunshot. No other individuals were reported injured in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing, and gun violence detectives have been alerted to the case, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.
