Discovery of crack cocaine-filled ‘cookies’ during apartment search in GA

Georgia deputies say they found illegal drugs inside an apartment and arrested two people.

Monroe County investigators carried out a search warrant at the Forsyth Gardens Apartments shortly before 9 a.m. on Monday. Authorities learned that Tramaine Haynes was selling illegal substances in the apartment.

While investigating the apartment, authorities discovered two crack cocaine “cookies” weighing 41.1 grams, additional smaller pieces of crack cocaine weighing 18 grams, a packet of powder cocaine weighing 9.3 grams, over 140 grams of marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia.

Deputies apprehended Haynes and Taquilla Williams. Both Haynes and Taquilla Williams face accusations of trafficking cocaine, possessing cocaine with the purpose to distribute it, possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute it, distributing controlled narcotics near public housing, and possessing items related to drugs.

Williams was also accused of violating a family violence order. The Monroe County Jail held the two without bond.

The MCSO claims that the court granted Haynes a bond in November for the same charges.
