John Riley, an Arizona resident, was arrested on December 26, 2024, following multiple incidents at the Fireside Lounge in Davenport.
The trouble began when the lounge’s management called the Polk County Sheriff’s Office around 8:40 p.m. to report Riley for trespassing. Deputies arrived, and Riley was warned to leave the premises. However, an hour later, he returned to the establishment. The manager intervened again, escorted him out, locked the doors, and contacted authorities to report his repeated violation.
When deputies arrived and arrested Riley, he reportedly became aggressive, making threatening remarks toward the officers. This behavior resulted in additional charges being filed against him. Riley now faces counts of trespassing and threatening a public official.
He was transported to the Polk County Jail, where he awaits further legal proceedings. Riley’s actions have raised concerns about ensuring the safety and security of patrons and staff at public establishments.
