The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) announced that another fugitive from Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants List had been apprehended in Houston. Armando Flores Aguilar was detained on Friday, February 14. A Crime Stoppers reward will be offered for his apprehension.
Armando Flores Aguilar, 69, a criminal illegal immigrant from Mexico, was arrested in Houston by DPS Special Agents, Texas Highway Patrol Troopers, and members of the United States Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force. He had been wanted out of Bastrop County since September 2024 for aggravated sexual assault and indecency with a kid.
Flores Aguilar was deported from the United States in September 1999. The Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office arrested him in May 2024 on charges of chronic sexual assault against a child under the age of 14. Flores Aguilar was eventually released from jail on bond. Texas Crime Stoppers, which is funded by the Governor’s Public Safety Office, pays cash prizes to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest of one of the state’s top ten most wanted fugitives, sex offenders, or criminal illegal immigrants. So far in 2025, DPS and other agencies have apprehended nine Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives, sex offenders, and criminal illegal immigrants, including two sex offenders and three criminal illegal immigrants, with $15,000 in prizes offered for tips that resulted in arrests..
To be eligible for financial incentives, tipsters must offer information to authorities via one of the following three methods:
- Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
- Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about then clicking on the link under their picture.
- Submit a Facebook tip by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link (under the “About” section).
All tips remain anonymous, regardless of how they are submitted, and tipsters will be given a tip number rather than a name.
DPS Special Agents collaborate with local and federal law enforcement agencies to apprehend all recognized criminal illegal immigrants and select fugitives from the Texas Ten Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants List. The current lists, along with images, are available on the DPS website.
Do not attempt to arrest these fugitives, as they are armed and deadly.
