The devastating wildfires in Los Angeles have not only destroyed homes but have also claimed several lives. According to reports, as of Sunday, January 12, at least 24 people have lost their lives in the Los Angeles area due to the fires. Among the victims is retired actress Dalyce Curry.
“We had an incredible journey together. She made a profound impact on my life in countless ways. Losing her has been absolutely devastating,” she expressed.
Kelley brought her grandmother, lovingly referred to as “Momma D,” back to her house late Tuesday night, completely unaware of the impending disaster. The next morning, she rushed to the area to check on her grandmother’s well-being, but was halted by a police officer at a barricade. With a heavy heart, the officer informed her that her grandmother’s house had been completely consumed by the fire.
Kelley rushed to the Pasadena Civic Center upon receiving the news. This venue had been designated as a shelter for the displaced residents, but to her dismay, she couldn’t locate her.
Dayce Curry, a cherished Hollywood star, had an impressive portfolio of major projects, including ‘The Blue Brothers,’ ‘The 10 Commandments,’ and ‘Lady Sings the Blue.’ Despite her age of 95, Curry remained incredibly active. According to her granddaughter Loree Beamer-Wilkinson, “You would not think she was 95.”
