Authorities Intensify Search For Missing Georgia Man Thought To Be In South Carolina

Authorities in Georgia are currently conducting a search for a man who was reported missing in Jefferson earlier this month. It is believed that he may have traveled to South Carolina.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Michael Dean Campbell went missing on December 17. He was last seen after being discharged from The Potter’s House, a rehabilitation facility in Jefferson, on December 2. There is a belief that Campbell might be staying at various hotels in South Carolina, although the source of this information remains anonymous.

Authorities have released the most recent photograph of Campbell, dated Aug. 15, to assist in their search. Unfortunately, there are no available clothing descriptions or details about any vehicles he may be using.

Campbell has a history of grappling with drug-related problems and currently has an active probation warrant issued by the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office.

If you have any information regarding Campbell’s whereabouts, please reach out to Investigator Kevin Thomas at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. You can contact him at 706-387-6055.
