The Apache Junction Police Department is currently investigating a massive fire at a housing development site in Arizona as a case of arson. This comes after the blaze tore through two newly built homes.
Late on Tuesday night, a fire broke out near Idaho Road and Tepee Street, located north of Superstition Boulevard, at approximately 11:30 p.m.
When the Superstition Fire & Medical District crews arrived at the scene, they were met with homes that were completely engulfed in flames. A video captured from the area showed thick smoke filling the air, as the firefighters were forced to adopt a defensive strategy due to the intensity of the large flames.
There were no reported injuries, and although it is believed to be an isolated incident, leads have led them to believe that it was caused by arson.
