A road rage confrontation on Interstate 40 near Protho Junction led to the arrest of a Little Rock man by Arkansas State Police on Wednesday.
Authorities identified the suspect as 38-year-old Ernest Oneal, who was driving a semi-truck at the time of the incident. According to officials, the victim reported that Oneal had brandished a firearm during an altercation near the 156-mile marker on I-40 eastbound.
Troopers pulled over Oneal’s vehicle and questioned him about the incident. During the interaction, Oneal admitted to waving the gun as a threat toward the victim. Following this admission, he was taken into custody.
Oneal has been booked into the Pulaski County Regional Detention Center and now faces two serious charges: felony aggravated assault and carrying a weapon.
