An Ohio man has been sentenced to prison for distributing cocaine in western Pennsylvania

The Department of Justice’s Western District of Pennsylvania announced on Wednesday, December 4, that an Ohio man had received a 34-month prison sentence for cocaine trafficking in Western Pennsylvania.

Senior United States District Judge Joy Flowers Conti sentenced Peter Williams, 58, of Northfield, Ohio, who had earlier pleaded guilty in this case to possession with intent to distribute cocaine and cocaine bases in early 2021.

After his jail sentence, Williams was also required to serve three years of supervised release.

The Department of Justice reports that they pulled Williams over on Interstate 80 in Mercer County on January 5, 2021, and found him in possession of more than 300 grams of cocaine.

According to the Department of Justice, Williams has a 40-year history of significant crimes across multiple states, including prior narcotics trafficking and weapons offenses.
