AMBER Alert for missing Wisconsin teen expands to include Missouri

The search for a missing 16-year-old Wisconsin girl, believed to be with the 40-year-old man who got her pregnant, has now extended to Missouri.

Sophia Franklin, as per an AMBER Alert released in Wisconsin and Illinois, was last spotted in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin at 7:48 a.m. on Monday, February 3rd.

Franklin is a white female who stands at 5’9″ and weighs 186 lbs. She has beautiful brown hair, captivating blue eyes, and she is currently three months pregnant.

According to authorities, Gary Day, the father of her unborn child, allegedly abducted her. He is believed to be traveling in a black 2014 Buick LaCrosse with Pennsylvania license plate number KGW 5186. The vehicle also has an Arkansas plate, BBR 20L.

Day has blond hair and green eyes. He is described as 5’7″ tall and weighs 165 lbs.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that Day is currently on probation for endangering a child.

According to her family, the couple connected through an online platform in April. In July, without her parents’ awareness, Day took her to Arkansas. However, she was brought back to Wisconsin when Arkansas law enforcement visited Day’s residence for a probation check and discovered the teenager there.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol announced on Wednesday that the duo might be passing through the state en route to Arkansas.

Franklin’s family released a statement, saying, “Sophie has been gone for a week. We don’t know what to do other than wait and pray. It’s a torment. Her absence is felt every moment. There is so much on the horizon for you, Sophie. Hard things, yes, but GOOD things too. And your family is here for all of it. We aren’t going anywhere- we just need you to come back. Your value isn’t found in how much money you make, how hard you work, or even the affirmation of others. Sophie, you are a soul made by God and fully known by God and entirely loved by God. You are a gift to us. For all our family and friends: THANK YOU. Please don’t stop sharing. Sophie needs to be home. Please let law enforcement know if you think of anything that might be significant in getting her back.”
