On Wednesday, authorities arrested a 59-year-old man in connection with the reported abduction of a 14-year-old girl in Long Beach. The incident had triggered an Amber Alert, raising concerns about the girl’s safety.
“The subject has been located,” the CHP said in an update on X shortly after 5:30 p.m.
The authorities issued the alert in Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura counties before 4:30 p.m. However, it was canceled approximately an hour later.
Edward Mason, the suspect, has been apprehended in the Garden Grove area, according to the Inglewood Police Department. However, no additional information has been provided at this time.
Police have confirmed that the teenager, Nevaeh Holden, was located unharmed at a family member’s residence.
The authorities are still investigating the incident.
