On Friday, January 24, a woman from Alabama pleaded guilty to attempting to intimidate a witness during her cousin’s murder-for-hire trial last year. Jasmin Rowser, who confessed to the act, could now be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison. Nevertheless, federal prosecutors have agreed to recommend leniency in her case.
In a case that has garnered widespread attention, Darrius Rowser faced charges related to fatal shootings at a Mobile nightclub and the parking lot of a Mississippi casino. The trial concluded in October 2024, with a jury finding Darrius guilty of these charges. This verdict marks a significant moment in the case. Darrius is scheduled to be sentenced in March 2025.
During the trial, Jasmin Rowser took to Facebook Live and shared a 7-minute video from outside the federal courthouse. In the video, she openly referred to a prosecution witness as a “killer rat” and a “federal snitch.” These actions ultimately led to her recent admission of guilt.
The court has set Rowser’s sentencing for May 2025.
