According to KLTV, Fabrizio Slatineanu was found to be involved in a long-standing credit card skimming scheme. The FBI explains that this scam entails installing a skimmer on various devices, such as gas station pumps or bank ATMs.

Slatineanu was involved in a scheme where unsuspecting individuals unknowingly used a terminal equipped with a skimmer. As a result, their card data was illicitly collected and subsequently utilized by scammers for their own gain.

Slatineanu’s Actions While A Part Of The Scheme

According to KLTV, Slatineanu was responsible for embezzling a staggering sum of money from individuals in Smith County, totaling over $280,000. After being apprehended, he recently stood trial for his wrongdoing and was ultimately convicted. Just recently, his sentencing took place.

During the hearing, several victims of the scheme shared their testimonies, revealing the detrimental impact the loss of their money had on their personal lives. These heartfelt accounts influenced Judge Austin Reeve Jackson, who presided over the case, to impose a prison sentence that exceeded the typical expectations.
