A Johnson County woman has been sentenced to almost twenty years in prison for selling drugs to a teenager who tragically overdosed.

Trina Lynne Golden has been sentenced to 17 years in prison by a Johnson County judge.

In July, Golden was convicted by jurors for distributing drugs that led to the death of 19-year-old Madelyn Miller.

Miller tragically passed away in July 2020 due to an overdose.

Miller attended Olathe East High School and graduated in 2019, as mentioned in an online post. She had a passion for cooking and baking and had intended to pursue her studies at Johnson County Community College.
