Police Detained ‘person of interest’ in Illinois AMBER Alert Following 8 year old abducted And found unharmed

A person who is considered a potential suspect in the kidnapping of an 8-year-old boy and two stabbings, including one that resulted in a fatality, has been apprehended on Friday. This development comes shortly after an AMBER Alert was issued in Illinois.

Teone Jones, a 33-year-old woman, was stabbed multiple times at a home in the 7100 block of South Eberhart, according to the Chicago Police Department. The incident took place at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

Jones was rushed to the hospital, and unfortunately, she was declared dead upon arrival.

Police issued an AMBERT Alert for Jones’ other son, 8-year-old Tristan Gaters, early Friday morning.

Tristan was taken from the South Eberhart address by a suspect driving a silver 2022 Ford Escape, according to authorities.

Around 4:30 a.m., police discovered him near 82nd Street and Damen. He was taken to a hospital and initially listed in critical condition, but his condition later stabilized.

According to NBC Chicago, the Indiana State Police have apprehended the individual of interest in the case along Interstate 65 near the Crown Point exit in Indiana.

The identity of that person has not yet been released by the police.
