Suspects Charged In Burglaries At Patrick Mahomes’ And Travis Kelce’s Houses

Seven individuals from Chile have been charged in relation to a series of burglaries targeting the residences of prominent athletes, including Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

The Tampa, Florida criminal complaint was unsealed on Tuesday.

According to the complaint, a group of individuals from South America, namely 24-year-old Pablo Zuniga Cartes, 20-year-old Ignacio Zuniga Cartes, 27-year-old Bastian Jimenez Freraut, 22-year-old Jordan Quiroga Sanchez, 23-year-old Bastian Orellano Morales, 24-year-old Alexander Huiaguil Chavez, and 38-year-old Sergio Ortega Cabello, are identified as members of a theft group.

They have all been accused of conspiring to commit interstate transportation of stolen property. If found guilty, each of them could be sentenced to a maximum of 10 years in federal prison.

The complaint alleges that these individuals specifically aimed for the houses of professional athletes when they were either away or participating in professional games.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Tampa, a group of individuals managed to steal valuables worth more than $2 million.

In October 2024, burglaries occurred at the residences of Mahomes and Kelce on two separate occasions, specifically on October 5th and 7th.

During a home game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, the team experienced a burglary on October 7th.

Several valuable items, including jewelry, watches, cash, and other luxury merchandise, were stolen.

The suspects have also been connected to burglaries in the residences of professional athletes in Wisconsin, Florida, Tennessee, and Ohio.
