Kenneth Nelson, a 39-year-old resident of Rockville, NY, was apprehended on the evening of February 4, 2025, at approximately 8:18 p.m. The charges against him include the theft of approximately $1,674 worth of merchandise from the Lowe’s Home Improvement store situated at 297 Route 72 West in Manahawkin.
The suspect attempted to flee from the authorities on foot but was quickly apprehended. Kenneth Nelson Sr., a 68-year-old resident of Rockville, NY, was discovered driving the escape vehicle outside the establishment.
After the incident, Nelson Sr. was arrested for conspiring to commit shoplifting. Meanwhile, Nelson Jr. was taken to the police headquarters, where he faced charges of shoplifting. He was then detained for further investigation.
Nelson Sr., his father, was apprehended by the police and brought to the headquarters. He was charged with shoplifting and given a criminal complaint summons to appear in Ocean County Superior Court.
