OSHP Trooper Faces OVI Charges Following Patrol Car Crash In Huron County

A patrol car crash, allegedly caused by impairment, has led to the removal and unpaid leave of a trooper in Toledo, Ohio.

Trooper Tashawna Berry of the Ohio State Highway Patrol had an accident on February 8 around 7 p.m. while traveling on S.R. 601 in Huron County. She veered off the road and collided with a utility pole before hitting a tree.

The charges against her include OVI, failure to control, driving while texting, and improper handling of a firearm.
