New York man facing charges for trafficking drugs into Maine

A New York man is in trouble with the law after Waterville Police discovered a significant quantity of drugs being transported into the state.

Andre Jones, a 36-year-old resident of the Bronx, is facing charges for two counts of aggravated trafficking.

Upon conducting an investigation, the Waterville Police uncovered that it was Jones who had been transporting drugs to the state of Maine.

Jones was found in possession of cocaine base and fentanyl, according to authorities.

According to reports, the drugs have an estimated value of about $30,000.

Jones found himself in a tight spot as he was escorted to the Kennebec County Correctional Facility. The authorities wasted no time in setting his bail at a hefty $25,000.

The investigation is currently in progress.
