Texas Man Detained In Mississippi After Driving Through Traffic Stop

A man from Texas was apprehended in Jones County after nearly colliding with a Jones County investigator using his vehicle.

The Jones County Sheriff’s Department reported that narcotics agents and an investigator were conducting a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) detail on Wednesday afternoon along Moselle-Seminary Road.

According to officials, Toby Lindsey, a forty-nine-year-old individual, reportedly drove through the checkpoint, narrowly missing hitting a Jones County investigator with his vehicle.

Lindsey, a resident of Killeen, Texas, found himself in trouble when he was apprehended and accused of multiple offenses. These included DUI/refusal to take a test, possession of a controlled substance, careless driving, and driving without a valid driver’s license. As of now, Lindsey is detained at the Jones County Adult Detention Facility, awaiting the determination of his bond.
