A two-vehicle crash in Wisconsin on Sunday killed one person and injured six others.
According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, about 4:30 p.m. on January 26, officials were dispatched to a reported two-vehicle crash on County Road A near County Road B in Beaver Dam. According to officials, the initial investigation found that a pickup truck failed to stop at a stop sign.
According to reports, another vehicle struck the pickup truck. Both vehicles apparently came to a halt in a field.
According to the announcement, a 30-year-old Tennessee man was ejected from the pickup truck and killed at the scene. The hospital treated the driver of the pickup vehicle for serious, life-threatening injuries.
He was also from Tennessee, according to officials, who arrested him for driving while intoxicated.
Investigators took the driver of the second vehicle, a 35-year-old man from Fox Lake, to a hospital with significant, life-threatening injuries. Investigators also flew a passenger from the other vehicle to a hospital.
Three children in the other vehicle received minor injuries, according to the announcement.
Several agencies assisted on the scene. Investigations into the crash are still ongoing.
