On January 19, a call was made to the authorities in Alabama reporting an incident between an adult male and a minor.
According to the public post, the 12-year-old victim’s relatives detained 38-year-old Mario Francisco Martin (later confirmed with the real name Luis Lopez-Martinez) of Guatemala after catching him engaging in inappropriate behavior with the kid.
Investigator Kandace Wilson revealed that throughout the interrogation, Lopez-Martinez admitted to his activities, saying, “It is what it is.”
Lopez-Martinez has been given a bond of $250,000, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has placed an immigration detainer on him.
Lopez-Martinez is still in custody as of January 24th.
