A 17-year-old student from Queen Creek, Arizona, was arrested after making a threat against Queen Creek High School. The threat prompted the school administration to contact the Queen Creek Police Department.
The student faces charges of threatening, intimidating, and disrupting an educational institution and was booked into the Maricopa County Juvenile Detention Center.
Police have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat to the school. Queen Creek Police Chief Randy Brice emphasized that the department will not tolerate actions that jeopardize school safety.
School district officials also reiterated their commitment to student safety and noted that any student making a threat, whether serious or not, would face both disciplinary consequences and potential criminal charges.
The case is still under investigation.
