Three individuals have been indicted for allegedly assaulting unsuspecting pedestrians in the Short North Arts District of Columbus, Ohio. The accused men are said to have engaged in the despicable act of “sucker punching” their victims.
Three individuals have been indicted on felonious assault charges, according to a release from the U.S. Marshals. The Franklin County grand jury has charged Daz’Quan Anderson, Dale Seymore, and Phillip Moore III with this serious offense.
Multiple individuals were reportedly assaulted by sucker punches along North High Street on December 28. One of the victims had to be hospitalized and received stitches on their chin, while another person briefly lost consciousness. This information is based on police reports and court records.
During the investigation, detectives came across a video depicting a group of three men assaulting unsuspecting pedestrians as they strolled along the sidewalk. The footage revealed that these individuals instigated the violence without any apparent reason or provocation.
Anderson, who was still in the area, was detained by officers. In an interview with detectives, he admitted to punching two individuals in the video. As a result, he is now facing charges of two counts of felonious assault.
Seymore was apprehended on Thursday, while Moore was taken into custody on Friday, as reported by the US Marshals. Both individuals, currently held at the Franklin County jail, face four charges of felonious assault.
