New York Man Sentencing For Drug Trafficking Operations In Rhode Island And Massachusetts

A New York resident has been sentenced in Boston federal court for his involvement in a drug trafficking operation. The operation was responsible for shipping numerous packages of cocaine from Puerto Rico to various addresses in Rhode Island and Eastern Massachusetts.

Felix Baez Munoz, aged 35, received a prison sentence of 46 months after confessing in September 2024 to conspiring to distribute and possess cocaine with the intention to distribute.

According to the Massachusetts U.S. Attorney’s Office, Baez Munoz sent packages containing cocaine, which were often concealed in ordinary items like air fryers.

The packages would be sent to different addresses in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

In May 2020, federal agents spotted him carrying a duffle bag from Massachusetts to New York.

In New York, federal agents intercepted him and he willingly allowed them to search the bag. The search uncovered a staggering $387,030 in suspected drug proceeds.
