Snowfall Helps Deputies In Capturing Runaway GA Fugitive

Fresh tracks in the snow helped bring a wanted Georgia fugitive behind bars.

Deputies in Hamilton County, Tennessee, received an anonymous tip concerning fugitive Brandon Frady on Sunday at 8 a.m. from a home near the 2600 block of Banks Road.

Officials wanted Frady in Catoosa County, Georgia, on charges of aggravated assault, simple battery, criminal trespass, and two counts of child maltreatment.

As officers investigated the home, they noticed Frady walking towards East Brainerd Road and Banks Road. When deputies arrived, Frady had already left.

Deputies began constructing a perimeter and received assistance from the Collegedale Police Department.

Deputies said they followed fresh tracks left in the snow past the Quick Mart on Brainerd Road, crossing a creek and ascending a steep ridge until they found Frady hidden in the brush behind a fallen tree.

The Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center apprehended Frady and charged him with avoiding arrest.

He will be extradited to Georgia after the additional charges are resolved.
