MSP Motor Carrier Division collaborates to combat human trafficking

The Michigan State Police Motor Carrier Division has joined forces with law enforcement partners nationwide to combat the issue of human trafficking.

Officers will be collaborating with Truckers against Trafficking and other law enforcement agencies from January 13 to 17. Their objective is to provide education to commercial drivers regarding the indicators of human trafficking. It is important to note that victims of trafficking often lack control over their personal documents, tend to avoid eye contact, and may display branding marks, usually located on their necks.

Michigan State Police and Truckers Against Trafficking have been working together as partners since 2015.
