Two brothers were apprehended and taken into custody by U.S. Marshals in Northern Kentucky on Wednesday. They have been arrested on charges of aggravated murder.

According to a press release from U.S. Marshals, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was actively seeking Willie Jones and Jeromy Jones.

The U.S. Marshals have stated that they are seeking these individuals in relation to the tragic passing of Angela McNeil, a 61-year-old woman, back in April 2024 in the West End.

The press release explains that the U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team was assigned to the case and discovered that the brothers had escaped to Northern Kentucky.

According to U.S. Marshals, they located Willie Jones in Florence, while Jeromy Jones was found in Covington.

“The United States Marshals Service is committed to bringing those who commit violent crimes to justice,” stated Michael D. Black, United States Marshal. “We work with our partners at the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office daily to locate dangerous fugitives and remove them from our community. This arrest is the result of the teamwork between our task force in Southern Ohio and our USMS partners in the Eastern District of Kentucky.”

Willie Jones and Jeromy Jones are currently held in the Kenton County Jail as they await extradition back to Ohio.
