A woman from Kentucky who was wanted on probation violation warrants was arrested after a pursuit in Hopkinsville, according to WKDZ Radio.
Hopkinsville police attempted to stop a vehicle on Sunday morning after it was spotted driving in the wrong direction on Clay Street, which is a one-way road. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Barbara Clark, chose to flee from the scene instead.
According to WKDZ, Clark allegedly drove through a church parking lot where pedestrians were walking during the chase.
According to WKDZ, Clark managed to evade police by running multiple stop signs. However, authorities were eventually able to corner her vehicle at the Valero gas station on East 9th Street.
Clark was taken into custody and accused of first-degree fleeing or evading police as well as first-degree wanton endangerment. There may be additional charges filed against him, according to WKDZ.
