SC attorney general prevents the White House from providing Obamacare to illegal aliens

South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson joined 19 other states in seeking a stay from a North Dakota federal court to prevent President Biden from providing Obamacare to illegal aliens.

Attorney General Wilson prevented the Biden-Harris administration from illegally providing taxpayer-subsidized federal health insurance to illegal aliens and DACA beneficiaries.

In 2012, the Obama administration developed the DACA program to protect illegal aliens brought to the United States as children from deportation and to provide renewable work authorization. The Biden Administration proposed expanding this program in 2023, allowing over 200,000 DACA recipients and “other noncitizens” to qualify for and receive taxpayer-subsidized federal health care benefits under Obamacare.

“South Carolina is standing strong against the Biden-Harris Administration’s unlawful attempt to reward illegal aliens with federal benefits. This ruling sends a clear message: our laws matter, and we won’t let Washington undermine the rule of law to push their open-border agenda,” said Attorney General Wilson in a release. “South Carolinians or any US taxpayer should not have to foot the bill for people who entered this country illegally.”
