Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs Unveils Statewide High-Speed Internet Initiative, ConnectAllAZ

Gov. Katie Hobbs has launched  ConnectAllAZ, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at providing affordable and reliable high-speed internet access to every community in Arizona. The program consolidates various broadband projects across the state to streamline efforts in expanding connectivity, especially in underserved areas, such as rural and Tribal communities.

Bridging the Digital Divide

“All Arizonans, no matter where they live, should have the tools they need to thrive,” Hobbs emphasized in a news release statement. The initiative is expected to drive economic opportunity by addressing gaps in internet access, a critical factor for education, healthcare, and business development.

  • Arizona State Broadband Map: A new interactive tool that visually highlights regions with the most urgent need for internet access.
  • Unified Efforts: By consolidating state, local, and federal broadband projects, ConnectAllAZ aims to improve resource allocation and efficiency in delivering connectivity solutions.

Sandra Watson, president and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority, praised Hobbs’ leadership on the initiative, calling it a significant step toward improving economic opportunities for all Arizonans.

The program’s focus on underserved areas, particularly rural and Tribal regions, aligns with broader efforts to close the digital divide, ensuring that every resident has access to modern tools essential for success in today’s interconnected world.

This initiative marks a pivotal step toward a more inclusive digital infrastructure in Arizona, enhancing access to opportunities statewide.
