Houston Man Arrested for Fatal Stabbing of Sister and Her Child
Houston police have arrested a 29-year-old man, Kendrick Rayvon Fisher, in connection with the fatal stabbing of his sister and her 2-year-old child. Fisher now faces capital murder charges.
The tragic incident occurred early Friday morning at the Knox Westchase Apartments on Richmond Avenue. Police were alerted when a bystander flagged them down, reporting that a woman and her child were being held hostage inside an apartment.
Upon entering the residence, officers discovered a 28-year-old woman and her toddler deceased, both suffering from multiple stab wounds. Fisher was found asleep on the couch, reportedly wearing blood-stained clothing. Officers noted that he also had injuries indicative of a physical altercation.
Joanna Fischer, the suspect’s mother, expressed frustration with law enforcement, claiming she had previously warned authorities about her son’s violent tendencies.
“I want to let y’all know how the police failed us,” she told FOX 26. She shared that Kendrick had recently been released from jail and had a history of threatening family members, including a threat to “kill the whole family.”
Fisher is currently being held at the Harris County Jail, with his bond set at $200,000. The investigation remains ongoing.
