CSPD Investigates Downtown Stabbing, Victim Expected to Survive

Stabbing Reported in Downtown Colorado Springs, Suspect Sought

Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) officers responded to a stabbing early Sunday morning, December 1, near 100 E. Pikes Peak Avenue.

The incident occurred at approximately 2 a.m., and the Downtown Area Response Team (DART Shift II) arrived at the scene shortly after. However, the stabbing victim had already left the area in a private vehicle.

Officers determined that the victim was en route to a hospital for treatment. Despite sustaining serious bodily injuries, the victim is expected to survive.

Investigators gathered evidence from the scene and spoke with multiple witnesses to piece together the events leading up to the stabbing.

CSPD is actively searching for the suspect and has reassured the community that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
