Colorado Springs police are currently searching for a group of juveniles who are believed to be responsible for driving a car into the front of a smoke shop and stealing merchandise.
In the early hours of Wednesday, November 20th, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) swiftly responded to a burglary incident at Smoke and Vape, located near Astrozon on South Academy.
A preliminary inquiry uncovered that a band of teenagers utilized a stolen Kia sedan to crash into the store’s entrance, resulting in extensive harm to the structure.
After gaining entry, the criminals proceeded to steal various items from the business before making their escape to an undisclosed destination. The abandoned vehicle was found at the scene. Currently, the exact amount of stolen goods from the shop remains unknown.
The shop has been targeted in a smash-and-grab for the second time in the last two months. Another smoke shop in Colorado Springs is now facing the aftermath of a recent smash-and-grab incident.
Colorado has been grappling with a surge in smash-and-grab crimes, with more than 40 incidents reported this year alone. These crimes primarily target pawn shops, gun stores, and smoke shops.
