In Houston, the weather in November is still warm, which is not typical for Thanksgiving.
The region will experience warm temperatures for a few days, followed by the arrival of two cold fronts. The first cold front is expected to move through on Monday night and into Tuesday, while a stronger front is anticipated on Thanksgiving morning.

Monday will remain warm, with temperatures reaching the mid-80s. However, on Tuesday, a cold front will pass through, causing high temperatures to decrease to the low 70s. This temperature drop will be brief, as we can expect a rebound back into the 80s on Wednesday.
Our second, stronger front will be moving through Southeast Texas early Thanksgiving morning, bringing good news for those who enjoy cooler temperatures.
Thanksgiving and Black Friday
By the time Thanksgiving morning rolls around, the front is expected to make its way through portions of Southeast Texas. There is a small possibility of showers in the early hours, but for the most part, the region should remain dry.
The arrival of a front will keep our temperatures in the 60s on Thanksgiving. Unlike the previous front we experienced earlier this week, this front is expected to prolong the cooler temperatures, with highs remaining in the 60s for the next few days. Looking ahead, the 10-day forecast indicates that high temperatures will continue to drop, reaching the upper 50s by next Monday.
Black Friday is expected to bring slightly cooler temperatures to Houston, with highs in the lower 60s. This marks a small decrease from the previous day’s high of 68 degrees. The drop in temperature is due to the arrival of cool air following the front.
Temperatures will decrease to the 40s following the front that arrives on Thanksgiving Day. These cool temperatures will persist throughout the middle of next week, ranging from the 40s to near 50.
