A 34-year-old woman was sentenced to life in prison for her role in a Fatal shooting outside a Wichita club in August 2020.
After two years on the run, Autumn Metcalf was charged with the August 2020 shooting murder of 33-year-old Joe Wheeler III at Baby Dolls, a strip club and bar in north Wichita.
In August 2024, a jury convicted Autumn Metcalf of first-degree murder and soliciting first-degree murder.
On Monday, a judge sentenced her to life in prison with the chance of parole after 50 years for the murder conviction, as well as 61 months for solicitation. These sentences will be served concurrently.
