Phoenix Police Identify Teen Allegedly Involved in Fatal Stabbing of 15-Year-Old Jaylen Reeves

Phoenix police have identified a teen allegedly involved in the stabbing death of another teen of 15-year-old Jaylen Reeves, who was killed on November 16, 2024, in Ahwatukee. Despite this progress, no arrests have been made yet.

Jaylen was with friends at a park near 40th Street and Chandler Boulevard when a fight broke out with an unknown group, leading to the fatal stabbing.

Detectives have interviewed multiple witnesses, served search warrants, and collected evidence but continue to investigate.

Jaylen’s family and community are mourning his loss, creating a memorial at the park to honor his memory. His grandmother, Carla Medina-Reeves, expressed the family’s grief, calling it “a wound so deep I feel like it’s a brand on my heart.”

The family is advocating for justice and has set up a GoFundMe to cover memorial expenses. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Phoenix Police Department or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS, 480-TESTIGO, or silentwitness.org.
