In Harris County, Texas, a local man has been arrested and a significant amount of narcotics and firearms have been seized in a major drug bust. The operation, which took place on February 26, 2025, was carried out by the Precinct 8 Street Crimes Unit (SCU).
According to the Harris County Precinct 8 Constable’s Office, the SCU executed a search warrant in the 500 block of El Dorado Blvd. following an extensive investigation into narcotics sales. During the initial search, evidence was discovered that led to a second warrant being issued for a business in the 15500 block of State Hwy. 3. As a result of these searches, approximately 100 pounds of marijuana, 3 pounds of hash, 2 pounds of THC wax, 125 pounds of THC gummies, and 3 firearms were seized. In addition, $2,887 in U.S. currency was confiscated.
The arrest was made following the operation, with 52-year-old Jason Ray Moreno of Houston, Texas being taken into custody. Moreno, a felon, was charged with possession of a handgun and his bond was set at $5,000. Further charges, including felony possession of marijuana, are pending confirmation of lab test results on the recovered narcotics, as stated by the source.
