The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) recently reported the arrest of Clarence Enyi Mfor, a 37-year-old criminal illegal immigrant from Cameroon, in San Antonio. On March 2, DPS Special Agents from the Texas Anti-Gang Center successfully apprehended Mfor.
According to a press release from the DPS, Mfor had been on Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants List and was wanted in Bexar County since January 2025 for sexual assault. In 2019, Mfor was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in California for alien inadmissibility. Additionally, Mfor was arrested again in San Antonio in May 2023 for failure to have an immigration visa.
According to the Department of Public Safety (DPS), although the arrest has taken place, it will not be eligible for a Crime Stoppers reward. In Texas, Crime Stoppers, which is funded by the Governor’s Public Safety Office, provides monetary rewards for information that leads to the apprehension of individuals listed on the state’s 10 Most Wanted lists. In 2025, a total of 13 fugitives have been successfully captured, including three sex offenders and four criminal illegal immigrants. As a result, $20,000 in rewards has been paid out to individuals who provided valuable tips.
In order to qualify for cash rewards, individuals must submit tips through the Crime Stoppers hotline, the DPS website, or the DPS Facebook page. It is important to note that all tips are kept anonymous, and tipsters are assigned a tip number instead of disclosing their personal information.
The DPS collaborates with local law enforcement to choose individuals for the Texas 10 Most Wanted lists, which are accessible on the DPS website. It is important to note that these fugitives are considered armed and dangerous, so authorities strongly advise against attempting to apprehend them.
