2 Men From Georgia And Boston Detained As Police Seize Fentanyl And Crack Cocaine And Loaded Pistol

On Wednesday, police conducted a search warrant at a residence in Dorchester, resulting in the arrest of two individuals from Georgia and Boston. These men now face multiple drug charges.

Julian Niles, a 34-year-old resident of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and Daeshawn Jackson, a 21-year-old from Boston, have been charged with possession with intent to distribute Class A fentanyl, according to the police’s announcement on Thursday.

Jackson is also charged with trafficking Class B crack cocaine. Additionally, he is facing charges of unlawful possession of a large capacity firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, improper storage of a firearm, and receiving stolen property.

Boston Police officers conducted a search warrant at 51 Norton St. on Wednesday around 10:24 a.m.

Officers conducted surveillance at the home before executing the search warrant. According to the police, they observed Jackson entering and exiting the building multiple times. Niles, on the other hand, was seen arriving on an electric scooter and entering the home.

According to the police, Niles was suspected of distributing drugs in the area.

The police apprehended both suspects as they were observed walking together towards Richfield Street on Norton Street. Jackson was discovered with a substance suspected to be fentanyl, while Niles was found to be in possession of an undisclosed amount of cash and two packages of suspected crack cocaine.

During the search of Niles, law enforcement officers discovered multiple bags of illegal substances on his person. Specifically, they found one plastic bag containing seven smaller bags of light blue powdery fentanyl, as well as nine plastic bags of crack cocaine.

The police located the following items at 51 Norton St.:

    • A Sig Sauer P365 semi-automatic pistol loaded with 11 rounds in a high-capacity magazine, along with an additional 10 rounds of ammunition;
    • Blue pills and a tan powder substance suspected to be fentanyl;
    • A large bag of white rock substance suspected to be crack cocaine;
    • Three smaller bags of crack cocaine; and
    • Drug paraphernalia

Both suspects are scheduled to appear in Dorchester District Court for their arraignment.
