Police: Gunman Opens Fire On Lake Shore Drive, Hit Woman’s Car

A woman’s vehicle on Lake Shore Drive was hit by gunfire on Thursday morning in Chicago.

Here’s what we know so far: At approximately 9:20 a.m., the incident took place in the 2000 block of South Lake Shore Drive.

According to the Chicago police, a woman aged 34 was driving in a southern direction when an SUV of dark color pulled up alongside her vehicle. Subsequently, a person from within the SUV fired shots, causing damage to the woman’s car. The SUV quickly fled the scene, heading south.

Fortunately, the woman emerged from the incident unharmed, with no injuries sustained by herself or others involved. Nevertheless, her vehicle did sustain damage as a result.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident as an aggravated assault and criminal damage to property. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
