In a joint effort with Lululemon, the Gaithersburg Police Department – Investigative Section has been actively addressing recent incidents of felony theft. On February 19, 2025, at 2:15 p.m., detectives from the Gaithersburg Police Department – Investigative Section and Street Crimes Unit were present at the Lululemon store on Crown Park Avenue. They were conducting a retail theft operation when they noticed four unidentified females entering the establishment. These individuals immediately separated and proceeded to swiftly gather multiple items. Without making any payments, the suspects attempted to exit the store. While one suspect was apprehended at the door, the remaining three fled on foot. A brief chase ensued, leading to the successful capture of the three suspects in the vicinity of the Harris Teeter located on Copley Place. The stolen items accumulated by the four individuals were valued at over $10,000. As the investigation progressed, it was discovered that these same suspects had also committed a felony theft, amounting to over $1,500, at the Bath & Body Works store in Germantown.

Earlier this year, the Lululemon store and Lenscrafters in Gaithersburg, MD were targeted by a group of suspects. These individuals are now facing charges for the retail thefts that took place at these locations.

Herndon, Stewart, and Spivey have been taken to the Montgomery County Detention Center while the 17-year-old has been released to their parents. We do not have any information about their bond status at the moment.
