According to the Columbus Police Department, the arrest of two Texas residents for human trafficking was prompted by a woman’s frantic 911 call from a hotel bathroom in Columbus on Sunday afternoon.
WTVA reported that Naphtali Ratshitanga, 29, and Essence Holloway, 24, both from Texas, brought the woman from Indiana to Columbus.
When the suspects momentarily departed from the hotel, the woman recognized the chance and immediately made an emergency call for assistance.
Columbus Police received the call and promptly responded. They discovered the woman hiding in the bathroom.
Early Wednesday morning, Columbus Police officers successfully apprehended the suspects’ vehicle after a patrol officer located it.
As new information becomes available, more details will be shared.
