Two people are dead after a car crash that left a McLaren sports car split in half, according to Dallas Fire-Rescue.
Police said officers responded to the crash in the 8500 block of Abrams Road in Lake Highlands about 3:10 p.m. on Monday.
According to DFR, the McLaren collided with a tree, killing both people inside and splitting the car in two. According to DFR, the two deceased were inaccessible to first responders following the crash, necessitating a large rescue reaction.
DFR reports that one person from the other automobile was brought to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.
WFAA helicopter footage shows the wrecked premium sports car, which seems to be a McLaren 570S.
Officials did not provide details regarding what caused the crash or the status of the other motorist involved.
