15 People Felony Detained In One Week As League City Police Crack Down On Crime

Officers from the League City Police Department arrested 15 people on felony charges throughout the last week, from January 23 to January 29, 2025. The charges vary from state jail crimes to first-degree felonies, according to the department’s news statement.

The League City Police Department noted that officers work with the district attorney’s office to calculate appropriate bond amounts based on the charge level and the individual’s prior conviction history. When the accused appears in front of the magistrate, or judge, they have the authority to change the bond amount. The department used the hashtag #LeagueCitysFinest #FelonyFriday to publicize the arrests.
