A 14-year-old boy was the victim of a robbery on Tuesday afternoon at the Pelham Parkway subway station in Bronx, NY, according to police.
At around 4:10 p.m., a teenager was approached by an unidentified person on the northbound 5 train platform. The individual pretended to have a weapon and forcefully took the victim’s phone. Afterward, the suspect fled on foot to an unknown destination.
No one was injured during the robbery incident. The suspect was described by authorities as a slim-built male with a medium complexion. He was last spotted wearing a light blue jacket and carrying a black book bag.
The NYPD is currently conducting an ongoing investigation and encourages anyone with information to reach out to the department’s Crime Stoppers hotline.
